Importing video from a DV camera
You can import both saved and live video from a DV camera. When importing saved video, you can use Normal (manual) mode or SmartScan mode. In SmartScan mode, Media Import scans the tape for scenes, and you can select the scenes to import.
Note: Some DV cameras can be set to Memory mode and connected to the computer using a USB cable. In this configuration, they are detected as Removable Media devices. You can import photo images stored in the DV camera’s digital memory, but you cannot access saved or live video.
