Note: The settings available may vary depending on the project type.
This tab lets you set the properties for a menu button:
n Transition: Adds a transition into the linked movie or menu. Choose one of the following options:
n None: No transition.
n File: Plays a video or displays an image file before the linked movie or menu. Click Browse to select the file.
n Effect: Uses one of the predefined transition effects. Click Browse to select the effect.
n Link: Use these drop-down lists to link the button to a menu or movie.
n Go to: Selects the menu or movie invoked by the button.
n Play from: Identifies the chapter at which the movie begins playing.
n After playing: Determines what happens when the linked item finishes.
n Highlight: Use these settings to set the color and shape of the button’s highlight when the button is selected and activated:
n Color: Choose a color scheme for the highlight colors. These color schemes are defined in the menu Settings dialog box.
n Button highlight: Select one of the following highlight designs:
n None: The button is not highlighted.
n Extent: The highlight is a solid rectangle over the area of the button.
n Highlight: The highlight is a predefined shape associated with the button style.
n Highlight and Extent: Both a solid rectangle and the highlight shape associated with the button style are used.
n Text highlight:
n None: Text is not highlighted.
n Extent: The highlight is a solid rectangle over the text area.
n Outline: The text characters are highlighted.
n Activate on selection: Select this check box to make the button activate immediately when a menu is displayed.
Note: If you make a menu’s default button auto-activate, the button will activate immediately when a viewer goes to the menu and the viewer will never be able to choose a different button. The default button is set in the button Settings dialog box.
