Changing the equalization of an audio clip with the Audio Editor
You can change the equalization settings of an audio clip using simple or advanced equalization tools.
To apply simple or advanced equalization:
1 Open the Audio Editor for the audio clip you want to edit (see Opening the Audio Editor).
2 In the Equalizer, select Simple or Advanced.
3 Use the sliders to adjust the levels.
4 Use the Preview controls to preview the change.
Note: When you preview, watch the Left Level and Right Level meters to be sure the audio is not clipping and adding distortion. The indicators reach the far right area of the meter and the end clip turns red when the audio is clipping—if this happens, reduce the volume.
5 To return the levels to the normal (neutral) position, click Reset (Simple Equalizer) or 0 dB (Advanced equalizer).
6 When you are done, click OK to apply the equalization.
