Adding and editing paint strokes with Paint Brush
Follow this procedure to use the freehand Paint Brush tool to add your own hand-painted art to a photo or project. As you add paint strokes, PhotoSuite creates a new object in the photo or project that holds the paint stroke.
You can return to that object and edit the stroke. All of the changes you make affect everything in the object (for example, every brush stroke in the object is the same size, color, shape, and transparency).
You must add a new stroke, or object, to create paint strokes with brushes of different sizes, shapes, colors, and so on.
To add a paint stroke:
1 In the Tools pane, click Paint Brush.
The Options Bar shows the properties of the brush.
2 Click Add a new paint stroke.
3 To change the brush shape, select a shape from the Brush Shape drop-down list.
4 To change the brush color, in the Color drop-down list, select a color.
Tip: For more color choices, select More colors. Or use the eye dropper: Click the eye dropper tool, and then click a sample of the color you want to use. You can click a color anywhere in the PhotoSuite window—for example, you can select a color from a photo in the Canvas.
5 Set the values for the following brush settings:
n Thickness: Increase or decrease the brush size.
n Softness: Set the amount of blurring at the edges of the stroke, or how much the stroke blends in to the background.
6 Click and drag the mouse to paint on your photo.
As you drag the mouse, a dotted line shows where the paint stroke will appear. When you release the mouse button, the paint stroke appears in the Object List.
