Multichannel Mixer
Using the Multichannel Mixer, you can convert and configure your audio project to multichannel 5.1 sound and configure stereo sound. For example, you can optimize your project for a multi-speaker surround-sound effect. A visual representation of your configuration is available in the Multichannel Mixer window.
To create a multichannel project:
1 In the Mix Editor, on the toolbar, click Multichannel Mixer.
2 In the Multichannel Mixer window, choose a layer from the Track drop-down menu.
3 From the drop-down menu in the upper left corner, choose Stereo or Multichannel 5.1.
4 Adjust any of the following settings, based on what is available for the multichannel option you chose:
n Angle: Lets you rotate multichannel 5.1 sound from the center of the room. The default value is 0, and the maximum degree change is 180 degrees.
n Left/Right: Lets you change the balance of the sound between left and right speakers. The default value is 0.
n Front/Back: Lets you change the balance of the sound between Front and Back speakers. The default value is 0.
n Spread: Lets you spread the sound for an individual feed across more of the adjacent speakers, resulting in a larger perceived sound for the source. The default value is 0.
n Center: Lets you specify the Center channel level (as a percentage), relative to the Left and Right settings.
n LFE: Low-Frequency Effects (LFE) lets you specify the amount of signal (as a percentage) that is sent to the subwoofer. Higher values send more signal to the subwoofer.
n Center: Lets you spread the sound for an individual feed across more of the adjacent speakers, resulting in a larger perceived sound for the source. The default value is 0.
Note: Note: When you export your multichannel project, ensure that you choose Export Mix, and in the Output Settings, choose a format and set Options that support a Multichannel audio format.
