Not enough space on the hard disk
During certain types of recordings, a copy of the source disc will be temporarily stored as a disc image file on an available hard disk. To avoid recording errors, make sure you have enough space on your hard disk to store the disc image.
To determine how much space you have available on your hard disk, Press the Windows button on your keyboard to open the Start menu/screen, and click Windows Explorer. From Windows Explorer, click Computer or My Computer.
Depending on the type of recording and the size of the source disc, your hard drive should have between 100 MB and 50 GB of free space.
If your hard disk does not have enough free space, follow these suggestions:
Empty the Recycle Bin
1 Double-click the Recycle Bin icon on your Windows desktop.
2 Select the files you want to delete, then choose File > Delete. (If the File menu is not visible, press the Alt key.)
Run Disk Cleanup
Disk Cleanup is a Windows utility that helps you remove unneeded files from your hard drive. To start Disk Cleanup, follow these steps:
1 Click the Windows Start button, choose All Programs > Accessories > System Tools, then click Disk Cleanup.
2 Follow the instructions to clean up your hard disk.
Uninstall one or more unneeded programs
If your hard drive is still too full, try un-installing one or more unneeded programs.
Refer to your Windows user guide or Windows Help for complete instructions on uninstalling programs.
