Setting perfomance preferences
By default, hardware acceleration is disabled. You can enable hardware acceleration to improve the performance of the Refine Brush.
To enable hardware acceleration

Choose
File 
Preferences General Program Preferences.
The
Preferences dialog box appears.

Click
Performance in the list of categories on the left.

Unmark the
Disable Hardware Acceleration check box.
