Using the Equalizer in your recording
To use the Equalizer in your recording:
1 In the task area, click Equalizer.
The LP and Tape Assistant will apply the current Equalizer settings.
2 Optional: To customize the Equalizer settings, follow these steps:
a Click the Equalizer button.
b Optional: In the Presets drop-down menu, select from the following options:
n Custom: Select this option if you want to adjust the frequencies manually. Working with the custom presets is mostly trial‑and‑error, unless you know the frequencies of the sounds you want to adjust. It may be easier to notice your changes if you adjust one frequency at a time.
n Reset: Select this option if you want to reset the frequencies to the original values.
n Attenuate: Select this option to reduce the volume of the middle of the audio wave.
n +Bass: Select this option to increase the volume of low frequency sounds.
n +Treble: Select this option to increase the volume of high frequency sounds.
n +Voice: Select this option to increase the volume of human voices.
c Use the sliders to adjust the volume of the sound frequencies.
d Optional: To link the left and right stereo channels for master volume control, select Link channels. This option lets you increase or decrease overall sound output level.
e Optional: To preview your recording without the effects, select the Bypass check box and click Play/Stop.
f Optional: To preview your recording with the effects, clear the Bypass check box and click Play/Stop.
g Optional: If you have customized the Equalizer settings, you can save them. Click the Save button (the diskette icon), enter a name for the custom settings, and click OK.
h Click OK to return to the LP and Tape Assistant.
