DVD Music Disc Project Settings
Enter the following information about the DVD music disc:
n Disc Name: Enter a name for the disc.
n Audio Format: Select one of the following options:
n Dolby Digital AC-3: Select this format to create a disc with stereo Dolby Digital AC-3 audio. This popular format provides good compression, quality, and compatibility.
n MPEG 1 Layer 2: MPEG audio takes up the least disc space, but the sound quality may be lower. A large number of DVD players may be incompatible. This format is available for PAL-standard recordings only.
n Uncompressed Audio (PCM): This uncompressed format provides the best quality and compatibility, but increases the size of the project file. This format is available for both PAL- and NTSC-standard recordings, however, if you selected Best for the video quality, this format is not available.
n Video Standard: Select one of the following options:
n NTSC: The video system or standard used in North America, Japan, and most of South America. In NTSC, 29.97 frames are transmitted each second. Each frame is made up of 525 individual scan lines.
n PAL: The predominant video system or standard used in Europe. In PAL, 25 frames are transmitted each second. Each frame is made up of 625 individual scan lines.
n Auto-play (starts playing the first track when the disc is inserted): Select to begin playing the first track on the DVD Music Disc when you insert the disc into a player. If you do not select this option, then the Top menu of the DVD Music Disc appears when you insert the disc.
