Save Options dialog box
The options available depend on the file format you have chosen. Select a file format to view the options.
DMSP save options
General
n Flatten: Specify whether or not to flatten the file before saving it. Flattening results in smaller file size, but you cannot undo edits to the objects within the document.
n Set as default options for this file type: Select this check box if you want the settings you have defined to be used as the default settings when saving files of this type.
BMP save options
Note: The options available may vary depending on the application you are using.
General
n Compression: Compression impacts both photo quality and file size. Choosing Yes will result in a smaller file size, but at the expense of photo quality. Choosing No will result in better photo quality, but a larger file size.
Note: For this option to be available, you must select 256-colors from the Colors list box.
n Color: Specify the color depth in which to save the file. Choose between 256-colors and True Color.
n Set as default options for this file type: Select this check box if you want the settings you have defined to be used as the default settings when saving files of this type.
Size
n Export Size Options: Specify the precise dimensions (Height and Width), of the file you want to save. Also specify the Units of measure to be used in the calculations. If you want to maintain the same height to width ratio as your original, select the Maintain proportions option.
Preview
n Media Selector shows previews of both the original photo and the new photo with the settings applied. View the previews to see how file compression affects the level of quality.
GIF save options
Note: The options available may vary depending on the application you are using.
General
n Interlacing: Set Interlacing to Yes to have the photo display at low-resolution in a browser while the full image file is downloading. Interlacing can make downloading time seem shorter and assures viewers that downloading is in progress. However, interlacing also increases file size. If this is a concern, select No.
n Set as default options for this file type: Select this check box if you want the settings you have defined to be used as the default settings when saving files of this type.
Size
n Export Size Options: Specify the precise dimensions (Height and Width), of the file you want to save. Also specify the Units of measure to be used in the calculations. If you want to maintain the same height to width ratio as your original, select the Maintain proportions option.
