Layering items and effects in the Timeline view
You can layer items on top of each other in different tracks to see how they overlap at specific positions in time. With the Timeline, you can see exactly where individual items in the Video track, Background Audio track, Sound Effect track, Video effect track, and Text track overlap.
Note: Items to be overlapped must be on different tracks. You cannot overlap items on the same track.
To overlap or layer items or effects:
n Click the item or effect that you want to have overlap another, and then drag it left or right on the timescale to an empty position.
Note: If the destination position is already occupied, you can move or shorten the item or effect in that position to create a space for the object you are moving.
