Adding 3D video and photos to a 3D production
To correctly import a 3D video into VideoWave, you must know its 3D format. You can often learn the format from the company or website where you obtained the movie. Sometimes the format is included in the file name. And sometimes you can tell just by looking at the file in a movie player.
Here’s some basic information about some of the 3D file formats VideoWave supports:
n Side-by-side, Left/Right: The left-eye and right-eye images are placed side-by-side in a single frame with no overlap. The left-eye image appears on the left.
n Side-by-side, Right/Left: The left-eye and right-eye images are placed side-by-side in a single frame with no overlap. The left-eye image appears on the right.
n Top/Bottom, Left/Right: The left-eye image is placed above the right-eye image in a single frame. The images do not overlap.
n Top/Bottom, Right/Left: The left-eye image is placed below the right-eye image in a single frame. The images do not overlap.
n Anaglyph (Red/Cyan): The left-eye and right-eye images are placed on top of each other and are slightly offset in a single frame. The images overlap. No special hardware is required to view anaglyph movies except for a pair of inexpensive red/cyan glasses.
n Fuji 3D file: A proprietary format used by Fuji’s 3D cameras.
