Adding basic text and text effects to individual items
You can add basic text or text effects to an individual photo, video clip, or color panel in your production.
To add basic text to an individual item:
1 In the Production Editor, click the item to which you want to add text.
2 Click Internal Tracks to change to Edit Item mode.
3 On the Preview toolbar, click Add Text.
A “Type your text here” placeholder object appears in the Preview area.
4 Select the placeholder, and type your text.
5 Click Done to return to Edit Production mode.
To add a text effect to an individual item:
1 Select the panel to which you want to add text.
2 In the Add Content area, click Add Text Effect.
The Add text effect dialog box appears.
Tip: To sort the thumbnails by category, choose a category from the drop-down list.

To see a preview of the text effect, click the Play button in the bottom right corner of the thumbnail.
3 Click the text effect you want to use, and then click OK.
The Add text effect dialog appears.
4 Select Insert on internal text track of selected panel, and then click OK.
The selected item is displayed in Edit Item mode, and a “Type your text here” placeholder object appears in the Preview area.
5 Select the placeholder, and type your text.
6 Click Done to return to Edit Production mode.
Tip: You can also open the Effect Selector, click the Text Effect button, and then drag a Text Effect thumbnail to the Production Editor.
Note: If you have the optional Timeline feature, you can use it to assemble or layer text effects.
