What are basic text and text effects?
What is basic text?
Basic text is text, such as a caption, that you can add to any item in your production. You can use the basic editing tools available on the Preview area toolbar to quickly and easily modify the basic text, or you can modify the basic text by adding a text effect.
What is a text effect?
A text effect is text which has been enhanced with special fonts, colors, and motions—for example, rolling credits. A number of text effects are available.
Note: If you have the optional Customization feature, you can create and save custom text effects.
